Help Shape the Future of Gorse Management in Victoria.

In this contract for services the Victorian Gorse Taskforce (VGT) is seeking a dynamic and skilled Executive Officer to help lead its statewide strategy in combating invasive gorse.

This contract role—ideal for individuals or companies—is a unique opportunity to support a well-established, purpose-driven committee that works collaboratively with community and stakeholders. As the Executive Officer, you’ll drive communications, foster strategic alliances, empower communities through education and resources, and contribute directly to the implementation of the Victorian Gorse Control Strategy 2021–2026.

If you’re experienced in stakeholder engagement, environmental project management, and strategic communication—and passionate about invasive species control—this flexible, part-time role (approx. two days per week) offers an impactful way to contribute to preventing the further spread of gorse across Victoria. Work remotely, with occasional in-person engagement.

Assist the VGT in building community capacity and promoting a united front against gorse.

Applications are open now, and we invite you to bring your skills, passion, and innovation to this rewarding opportunity.
