Community Grants

Annual VGT Community Grants Program

Currently Closed

Overview

Through the Community Grants Program the VGT works to support communities in reducing gorse in their local area. The VGT are interested in helping landholders looking to control their gorse long-term. The program looks to educate and build community capacity around gorse and gorse control so that communities can take real ownership and overcome the problem. Now is the time to plan ahead and start a conversation with your community about gorse in your area.

Before After
“I’m so happy to be making progress with getting rid of the gorse on our property rather than feeling stressed and guilty about it getting worse each year.”
Denver Resident
“The grant really helped us get on and do something about our gorse problem.”
Glenlyon Resident
"With the grant it has enabled us to tackle the gorse problem along the creek on a larger scale than we have been previously able to do. We are now hoping with minimal upkeep to keep the gorse under control. It has had great results.’"
